Ravi attri co-mastermind behind AIPMT 2015, AIIMS PG 2011 & SBI Leaks

One of those arrested in the All-India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) paper leak case is a man who masterminded the leaking of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences post-graduate entrance examination papers in 2011, police have said.


IGP (Rohtak Range) Shrikant Jadhav confirmed that Ravi Attri alias Ravi Kumar, who was arrested from Rohtak on Monday, was also behind the AIIMS paper leak case of 2011 and SBI paper leak case of 2012.


According to police, Ravi (28), who belongs to Nimka village near Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh, is an MBBS student at PGIMS, Rohtak. He was posing as a doctor from Rohtak and running a racket involved in the leaking of question papers of important examinations.


Police said Ravi is a specialist in using the latest technology for dubious purposes and used to charge Rs 25-35 lakh from exam aspirants. “He used to deploy dummy candidates at the examination centres to scan the question paper through a tiny camera fixed in the button holes of their shirts and relay it back to the “control room???. Subsequently, the answers were sent to the real aspirants through mobile phones and bluetooth-enabled earphones,??? a senior police officer said Police said Ravi was on the run after the AIIMS exam paper leak incident of 2011. Though 11of his gang, including co-mastermind Mohit Choudhary were arrested, Ravi managed to escape, police said.
