Across all NEET centres exam was conducted peacefully. CBSE had already released press release for candiates of srinagar about centre change and other instruction to be followed for entry at exam centres amid curfew. News from Uttarakhand (Ramnagar & Haldwani) popped out that there has been arrest of 3 persons from Ramnagar & 2 persons from Haldwani in connection to paper leak. Police had seized thier documents and CBSE was informed. CBSE verified those papers and it didn’t match to the original NEET Paper. It has been reported that the accussed had sold those papers for Rs.10 lakh- 30lakh in various cities.

On 25th CBSE had released a notice regarding peacefull conduct of exam at all centres and those papers seized in uttarakhand to be false.
“CBSE had successfully conducted National Eligiblity Cum Entrance Test-II on 24th July, 2016 across the nation including Srinagar. There are also media reports regarding attempts made for leakage of NEET-II question paper in Uttarakhand. The material seized by the Uttarakhand Police from the persons involved in cheating were provided to CBSE and the same was matched by the Board with the original question paper of NEET-II and found that the seized material is entirely different from the original question paper of NEET-II. This was an attempt made by some unscrupulous elements to cheat the candidates on false promises. Therefore, it is reiterated that news of attempt of leakage of question paper was false and far from facts. CBSE would again like to reassure all the stakeholders that NEET-II was conducted fairly across the country.”
