NEET-UG 2019 Updates: Supreme Court Allows Candidates Above 25years of Age, Restration to be Extended by a Week

In a hearing of Case to remove upper age limit for NEET-UG 2019, Hon’ble Supreme Court of India has directed NTA(National Testing Agency) to allow candidates above 25years to register for exam but has reserved the final decision. Final decision will depend on the outcome of the case. Also its should be noted that the last date of registration for NEET-UG 2019 is 30th November.

Supreme Court has also directed NTA to extend registration deadline by a week. Another case related to eligibility of NIOS candidates is also pending and students are provisionally allowed to register for the exam. Both case final decision is expected to come by february 2019.

NEET-UG (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test- Undergraduate) is for the first time being conducted by NTA (National Test Agency) and is scheduled on 5th May,2019. NEET-UG is a combined entrance exam for admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BYNS/BSNS/BHMS and other Paramedical courses(in some states) under both All India Qouta & State qouta. Registration fee is ₹1400 for general/OBC candidates and ₹750 for SC/ST/PH & Transgender.
